In Joshua 10, Joshua is in the middle of a battle with the Amorite army. As the sun begins to set, he asks God to stop time so that he could defeat their army and give God the glory. Over the last couple of years as my girls have grown and were looking to move out of the house, my parents both passing away and my father-in-law passing away, my prayer has been to boldly ask God to not necessarily stop time like He did for Joshua, but possibly to slow time down and let me hold onto those moments a little longer.
